Into the looking glass...

I'm really close to 56 BST (about 3k tnl -- have to quit dying). I've decided that once I get to 59 or 60, I'll stop to make gil. I'll need to buy a hauby then, but I think I'll stop and just keep earning money until I can buy everything that I want before I start going on a mad leveling streak again. Yeah, that might take awhile. Well, it will take awhile. But I really would like a noble's tunic for my white mage so I can quit feeling so gimp without one. I refuse to do end game without one. So with just a noble's and a hauby that's... over 6 million at current auction prices. Ouch. I hope I can do that before Christmas...

However, I have gotten a lot accomplished lately. I soloed my gaudy harness. I was pretty upset to have to give my my pretty white panties for the not-as-cute looking harness, but I'm dealing with it pretty well. It took awhile though. 1/9 and only 3 deaths, so I guess it wasn't that bad.

A very good friend of mine, Darlene, helped me get my coffer key for bard hands in Castle Zvahl some time ago. I love that castle -- it looks so cool. But anyhow, I had a really good time. Really I think that's the best part -- hanging out and having fun with people you like and respect. There aren't a whole lot of other ways I'd rather spend time while playing.

I think that's the reason why I don't like pick up parties so much anymore. Yeah, getting lots of exp in a very short amount of time is nice and all, but is it really worth it if you're not having fun? I tend to be really chatty sometimes, and I appreciate it when people chat with me. Sometimes I don't talk so much. I really like (attempting) to tell jokes. I like other people's jokes. Hell, I even find the stupidest of jokes funny.

I really cherish the times I spend with friends just mass murdering everything in sight, even for no reason. Burning down Castle O, anyone? I really miss those... and back then we all said that that was the most fun we've had in a long, long time.

That is why I still play. Once I stop having fun, well, I'll probably leave.

Wouldn't you?
